Jane is traveling across the USA from St. Petersburg Russia and found our profile on Couchsurfing.com. She asked if she could spend the night last week on her way to Dallas. We checked her profile and references, then told her that she was welcome to stay at our house.
Instead of one night, she ended up staying with us for three days while we took her camping and Canyoneering on the Buffalo River, shopping in Eureka Springs, swimming in the lake, and introduced her to some authentic southern home cooking.
Couchsurfing is a great way to save money while traveling and meet interesting people while you're at home, you can offer your own couch to travelers or ask others for a place to stay when passing through their area!
We had a great time showing her why we love NWA and how lucky we are to live in a place like this. She especially loved sleeping in a hammock for the first time and eating a, "How do you say again? S'more?" :)
So if you're looking for a cheaper way to travel or just want to help out your fellow man check out Couch Surfing! And enjoy the experiences that follow!
